Bachelor’s Button (Centaurea cyanus)
Plant seeds 1/4 deep in compost-rich potting soil. Place seed container in a warm, sunny location and keep soil moist. Bachelor’s button hates cold weather and does best in hot temperatures, so don’t be in a hurry to transplant outdoors.
Cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus)
Sprinkle cosmos seeds directly on top of soil, spritz with water and place seed container in a sunny location. Cosmos seeds need light to germinate. Plant in-ground or grow in containers after all danger of frost has passed.

Salvia (Salvia officinalis)
This flower produces tall spikes of bright red or purple blooms. Sprinkle salvia seeds on top of potting soil and gently press them so they will be in complete contact with potting soil. Do not cover. Place seed container in a warm, sunny location and keep soil moist.
Transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed.
